Read the columns, not a score. There is no score here on purpose. A device count is a fact, a removal is a fact, an FMCSA revocation is a fact. Weighting them into one number would be our opinion wearing the data's clothes.
570 of these companies have never had a device removed, 17 carry at least one FMCSA revocation rather than a withdrawal of their own, and 160 file hardware another company also files.
23 of 626 companies clear that bar. The cut is a threshold rather than a top-N, so it is a property of the company rather than a decision we made about the page. Sorted by devices currently listed.

Listed now is how many distinct certifications the company currently holds. More is not better; it usually means a longer history or several hardware generations sold side by side.
Removed counts every device the company has taken off the list, whichever way it left. For an established vendor, this number rising is ordinary product lifecycle rather than a warning.
FMCSA revoked separates the removals the agency forced from the ones a vendor chose. This is the column that says something about the vendor rather than about its roadmap, which is exactly why the two are not merged into one figure.
Hardware flags a company whose filed model number also appears under another company's name. That is not a criticism; white labelling is a normal route to market. It does mean you may be choosing between resellers of one device, which is the case for one in five registered devices.
It cannot tell you whether a device works, whether support answers the phone, whether the app is usable in a cab at night, or whether the price is fair. We have tested none of them. It also cannot tell you how long a company has been registered, because the FMCSA register publishes no registration dates, so a clean record and a long clean record are indistinguishable here.
Companies are grouped by name as FMCSA publishes it, normalised for punctuation and common suffixes. FMCSA files some firms under more than one spelling, so a per-company count can split one business across two rows. We disclose that rather than merging pairs we cannot verify from a name string.
