How FreightProbe checks its figures

FreightProbe has not published any product reviews yet. What it publishes today is reference data: the FMCSA registered ELD list and its removal record, and cost pages built from published rate cards. This page describes where those figures come from and how they are dated. If reviews start, their testing protocol will be documented here before the first one goes live.

Where the figures come from

ELD registry and removals

The ELD pages report the FMCSA registered device list and the record of devices removed from it. The list is self-certified by each manufacturer. FMCSA does not endorse any ELD, and neither do we. Every page reports what the list said on the day it was read, and carries that date.

Cost pages

The factoring, insurance and load board pages are compiled from vendor rate cards and published cost breakdowns. Freight pricing varies by lane, equipment, credit and authority age, so ranges are published as ranges, with the source named on the page that uses them. We do not collapse a band to a single number.
